Ana Fuentes is a Spanish journalist and author based in Madrid. A former correspondent in Paris, Beijing and New York, her reports have been broadcast on three continents by CNN en Español, Radio Netherlands, Prisa Radio, BFM Radio and others. Ana holds a degree in Journalism from the Complutense University in Madrid and the Sorbonne University in Paris, and a Master’s in Journalism from El Pais and the University Autónoma in Madrid.

She currently edits the economic online magazine The Corner, the only Spanish economic media outlet 100% in English for international readers. She is also responsible for the well-reputed monthly print Consejeros. Besides, Ana writes an opinion column on international affairs for Spain's main newspaper El País and is a regular contributor to the Spanish radio station Cadena Ser.

In 2012 she published 'From The Dragon’s Mouth: Ten True Stories that Unveil the Real China', an intimate look into China as seen through the eyes of its people, which was published worldwide by Penguin. It received three International Latino Book Awards in 2012.

As a special reporter, Ana covered the Japanese tsunami (2011), North Korean refugees: From Pyongyang to Seoul (2011), Xinjiang ethnic riots in Western China (2009), Paris outskirt riots (2005), and Ukraine's Orange revolution (2004).
