Olivier Clairouin is a journalist at Le Monde, in Paris. As head of the video department, he has been leading a team of 14 journalists and motion designers, experimenting new formats on social media, building Le Monde identity on video, and streamlining the video production toward explanatory journalism on Youtube. He has also taught video journalism for seven years in schools such as Ecole supérieure de journalisme de Lille (ESJ), Centre de formation des journalistes (CFJ), Ecole de journalisme de Sciences-po (EDJ) or Institut français de presse (IFP). In september 2019, Olivier left the video department to become deputy editor-in-chief of Le Monde digital newsroom. With a team of five other editors-in-chief, he is now responsible for the website editorial policy and manage a team of approximately 100 people, while keeping a focus on video and visual storytelling in general.
