Biography
Matej Praprotnik works at public broadcaster RTV Slovenija. Prior to becoming assistant director for radio strategies he worked both as morning host and journalist covering the European Union, science, and technologies. In 2010 he became Innovation Journalism Fellow at Stanford University which shifted his professional focus to digital media. After returning to Slovenia, he started establishing a digital portfolio for Radio Slovenia that nowadays involves a variety of services from the website, diverse social media profiles, podcasts and smart speaker skills. Although he no longer works in the studio, he still hosts panels that cover media, science, and technologies. As a podcaster, he teaches Slovenians to speak Mandarin Chinese and Portuguese.
