Sophie Lacroix



Sophie Lacroix, 35, is the co-founder of Before that, she was in charge of developing le Monde's international activities. One of hey key projects was to launch and develop le Monde Afrique, a news, debates and events platform dedicated to covering Africa's most pressing issues and fascinating stories, and which now counts more than 8 million readers around the world. Before joining le Monde, she restructured and headed the Latin-american edition of the french cultural magazine Les Inrockuptibles, based in Buenos Aires. She started her career as an investment banker, working in the Global Sovereign Advisory Department of Lazard, in Paris. She graduated in Business Administration from ESCP Europe and holds a MsA in Development Economics from Sciences Po Paris.
