Biography
Thomas Seymat is the VR editor of Euronews where he leads the implementation of an innovative immersive journalism workflow in the newsroom. Since June 2016 he has orchestrated the production of over 125 360°/VR experiences. This project has received the backing of Google DNI funds. He has trained journalists and spoken at numerous conferences on immersive journalism throughout Europe, and is also an ambassador of the Journalism360 initiative. Before, as a digital journalist he oversaw euronews' live-blogs operations, introduced data-visualization tools in the newsroom, and reported on European news.He holds a M.A. in journalism from Science Po Lyon and a joint Erasmus Mundus M.A. in Journalism from the University of Aarhus and Hamburg.
