Chiara Somajni (*1967 Milano, Italy) is a journalist. She's been employed as a contributing editor for over 20 years at the Italian financial newspaper Il Sole 24 Ore, mainly at its cultural supplement Domenica. Despite her preference not to specialise, her continuous interest in digital culture led her to be invited to teach Arts and Technology at Bocconi University and other Italian academic institutions.

In 2013 she resigned, moved to Berlin and started experimenting in various directions, in the arts and startup scene, in the academic sector as well as developing some projects at the crossroad of journalism, education and activism.

Since 2004 she is involved in the social justice ngo Actionaid, for which she now serves as the vice-chair of the international board.
