Hazel is a co-editor at the award-winning New Internationalist magazine. A writer and editor, she specialises in stories that unpack the thorny subjects of justice, equality and political change at outlets that include the BBC World Service, LA Times and The Guardian. She currently edits the Climate Justice column ‘Temperature Check’ and has stewarded other environmental magazines for New Internationalist on efforts to adapt to climate change in Bangladesh and just lately, the May/June 2019 edition on How to Avoid Climate Breakdown. Her short essay envisioning a zero-carbon world by 2025 was published in 'This is not a drill', the Extinction Rebellion handbook in June 2019.
