Laurent Richard is a French documentary filmmaker, producer, and founder of Forbidden Stories, an investigative network of journalists devoted to keeping stories alive. This award-winning consortium of journalists is continuing the work of threatened, jailed, assassinated journalists and its first project was the Daphne Project. Richard has directed investigative documentaries for 20 years, broadcasted on French Public Television, Canal Plus, Arte, ABC Four corners, ZDF, PBS America UK. Laurent has also pioneered investigative formats for television and co-founded award-winning investigative program Cash Investigation. He has been awarded with the prix Europa 2018 European Journalist of the year. Laurent Richard was a Knight-Wallace Fellow in 2017 at the University of Michigan.
