Biography

Libby Bawcombe is joining the NPR digital media team as senior visual product designer and will collaborate with designers, developers and editorial teams to bring NPR’s unique storytelling to readers and listeners across different platforms. Libby was formerly digital design director at The Atlantic, where she led user experience, art direction and responsive design of the digital experiences for TheAtlantic.com and its iOS apps, and CityLab.com. Prior to this, Libby spent 13 years at the Newseum, the museum of news in Washington, D.C., as manager/senior multimedia designer. Libby designed interactive touch experiences for platforms as large as gallery walls and as small as phones. Libby graduated from Ball State University with a Bachelor of Fine Arts in Graphic Design, with an Emphasis in Multimedia.
