Biography

Peter Jebsen is a free-lance journalist, moderator and social media expert in Hamburg/Germany.

He started out as a free-lance music journalist for radio, print and TV. For 13 years, he traveled extensively all over the United States. He was Editor in Chief of TV Movie online, one of the first websites of a German general interest magazine. As Editor in Chief/Creative Producer Internet at UFA Serial Drama, he created Germany's first major youth portal GZSZ.de. He also worked in Axel Springer's COMPUTER BILD group for ten years, as Senior Editor of the test magazine AUDIO VIDEO FOTO BILD.

He serves as federal board member and 2nd Hamburg chairman of Deutscher Journalisten-Verband/DJV (German Federation of Journalists), Germany's largest professional association, trade union and service center for journalists. He also has been co-organizing DJV's annual conference Besser Online (since 2005).
