Ingeborg Volan is director of audience engagement at Dagens Næringsliv, Norway's top finance and business news outlet. There, she's in charge of overall content and publishing strategy as well as community building with readers, subscriber development and loyalty, and newsroom analytics. She was recently recruited to this position from a role as head of newsroom innovation and development at Norway’s oldest media house, Adresseavisen, in the city of Trondheim. She’s an online news veteran who has worked in digital media since 1999, except for a four-year stint as a social media consultant – Ingeborg is counted among Norway’s top social media specialists. In her previous role, she was head of social media at public broadcaster NRK and also headed up the innovation team NRKbeta. She also served as the president of the Norwegian Online News Organization for four years and is currently a board member for the Norwegian Editors Association.
